"Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement." -- Brian Tracy

I am a trained coach; I am not a licensed therapist. A psychiatrist or psychologist delves into your history to find the root of a psychological problem that is negatively affecting your life in some way. If, before or during our coaching relationship, it appears to me that you would be better served with therapy, I will recommend that to you and discontinue our coaching relationship until you are better prepared for it.
To be coachable, you must be at peace with your past and anxious to move forward in your life. Metaphorically, a therapist is an archaeologist, whereas a coach is a builder.

A consultant is hired to tell you what to do and how to do it based on his or her expertise in a given field. In coaching, however, the coach and client work together as equals. We co-create a relationship that supports your needs by finding ways to motivate and inspire you as you progress toward your goals.

As your coach, our sessions are confidential, non-judgmental, and all about you! Unfortunately, this can rarely be said of conversations with friends and family. While they may mean well, emotions often cloud their reactions to your plans, hopes, and dreams. They may feel worried, threatened, afraid, or jealous of what you want to accomplish. Ironically, the people we are closest to are often the ones who spew the most negativity on our dreams. And with others, it's often hard to keep the focus on yourself long enough to thoroughly talk through your new ideas. In these situations it's all too easy to give up on your true self and your heart's desire.
In our coaching relationship we will work together to let your true self emerge as your life moves forward in the direction of your choosing!
